Cynda Ormsby Voice

A graduate of the Musicians Institute, Cynda has thrown herself into the new music industry as a vocalist, audio engineer, and producer.

Born in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, Cynda began singing in church at a young age. Throughout middle and high school, she was a member of show and concert choirs and participated in county chorus and district jazz choir. She also appeared in many school and church musicals including The Music Man, The Wiz and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Moving to Los Angeles in 2006, she began attending the Musicians Institute's Vocal program, honing her craft under teachers such as Whole Lotta Rosies’ singer Coreen Sheehan and Deltanaut's Brian "Hacksaw" Williams. While there, she studied performance, sightsinging, music theory and began writing her own music for her original rock band, Cockeyed Optimist.

Furthering her education, she enrolled in the Recording Artist Program and the Recording Institute of Technology giving herself a solid background in the use of digital music software as well as analog studio consoles and equipment. As a producer, she has lent her guidance to her own music as well as LA-based pop rock band Arrest My Sister.
