A graduate of Musicians Institute, Cynda Renae is a singer, audio engineer, music producer and voice lesson instructor.
Born in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, Cynda began singing in church at a young age. Throughout middle and high school, she was a member of show and concert choirs and participated in county chorus and district jazz choir. She also appeared in many school and church musicals including The Music Man, The Wiz and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Moving to Los Angeles in 2006, she began attending the Musicians Institute College of Contemporary Music. While there, she studied vocal performance, sightsinging, music theory and began writing her own music for her original rock band, Cockeyed Optimist.
She continued her education at MI by enrolling in the Recording Artist Program and the Recording Institute of Technology giving herself a solid background in the use of digital music software as well as analog studio consoles and equipment. As a music producer, she has produced her band’s debut EP, Undocumented as well as LA pop-rock band Arrest My Sister’s first CD.
